Ripple and Robinhood have entered a strategic partnership to connect stablecoin payments, corporate treasury operations and institutional trading through Ripple’s financial infrastructure.

The agreement makes Ripple’s flagship stablecoin, RLUSD, a key stablecoin across Robinhood’s digital asset ecosystem, with the token already live on Robinhood Chain and Bitstamp by Robinhood.

RLUSD is expected to launch in the Robinhood app later this year, while Robinhood plans to use the stablecoin on the XRP Ledger for institutional settlement.

The companies will also integrate Ripple Treasury into Robinhood’s global financial operations to automate cash and liquidity management, cash flow forecasting, payments, risk management and intercompany netting.

Their institutional collaboration will expand through Ripple Prime, which provides Bitstamp by Robinhood with lending and margin financing across approximately 20 digital assets and allows Ripple Prime clients to trade spot markets on Bitstamp. Support for perpetual futures trading on Bitstamp through Ripple Prime is expected later this year.

The partnership comes as stablecoins become more established as financial infrastructure. Total stablecoin supply has topped $300 billion, and RLUSD has reached more than $2.5 billion in market capitalization since its launch in December 2024.
