USDT on TRON moved $19.4 billion in stablecoin transfer volume over a 24-hour stretch. No other network posted more.

The figure matters because it confirms a pattern rather than breaking one. TRON has become the default settlement rail for Tether’s USDT.

The numbers behind the lead

Start with the daily figure. The $19.4 billion in 24-hour USDT transfer volume placed TRON first across all tracked networks.

Recent daily volumes on TRON have ranged between $13 billion and $27 billion, so the latest reading lands squarely in the middle of that band.

Data from Token Terminal, CoinDesk Data and Nansen shows TRON processed between $2.18 trillion and $2.21 trillion in stablecoin transfers in Q3 2026. That works out to average daily figures around $24 billion. It also gave TRON roughly 73% of total stablecoin transfer volume for the period.

Supply tells a similar story. USDT on TRON averaged a supply of $90.75 billion in Q3 2026, representing 49.49% of tracked USDT supply across chains. The range for the quarter ran from $90.75 billion to $93.88 billion. That level of supply significantly outpaced Ethereum’s, according to the same data.

The trend kept going into the fourth quarter. As of early November 2026, TRONSCAN reported USDT supply above $94 billion, alongside approximately 79 million holders making millions of daily transfers.

How TRON got here

Messari’s Q1 2025 report put TRON’s average daily USDT transfer volume at $19 billion, up 3.3% quarter-over-quarter. The Q3 2026 average of around $24 billion shows the baseline has moved higher since then.

The network, operated with involvement from TRON DAO and Tether, leans on low transaction fees and high throughput. It has also rolled out gas-free USDT transfers, which removes the need for users to hold a separate token just to pay for sending dollars.

The cumulative milestones reflect years of that usage. TRON has surpassed $30 trillion in cumulative transaction volume and executed more than 16 billion transactions to date.

Following the money: revenue and TRX

TRON generated $693 million in revenue in Q3 2026. That amount made up 93% of tracked Layer 1 and Layer 2 network revenue.

TRON has seen the launch of its first US spot staked TRX ETF, giving traditional investors a regulated wrapper for exposure to the network’s native token.

What this means for the stablecoin market

For investors, the core takeaway is concentration. Roughly half of tracked USDT supply and about 73% of stablecoin transfer volume sit on a single network.

TRON’s position depends heavily on one asset. USDT is the engine of the network’s volume, revenue and user base. TRON’s fortunes are tied closely to Tether’s continued preference for the chain and to user habits that favor it.

Ethereum still holds a substantial share of USDT supply, even if TRON’s is significantly larger.

Watch a few markers in the months ahead. Daily volumes relative to the $13 billion to $27 billion range will show whether activity is expanding or plateauing. TRONSCAN’s supply figure, last seen above $94 billion, will indicate whether new USDT keeps landing on TRON first. Revenue share deserves attention too. Holding 93% of tracked Layer 1 and Layer 2 revenue is the kind of dominance that invites challengers.
