BNB Chain added $3.7 billion in tokenized fund market cap over the past year. That was more than any other blockchain.
Tokenization is the process of putting traditional financial products, such as stocks, ETFs or government bonds, onto a blockchain as digital tokens. Think of it as a digital twin of a share or a bond, one that can trade at any hour and settle without the usual back-office paperwork.
The numbers behind the lead
BNB Chain’s growth looks even sharper when you zoom in on tokenized stocks and ETFs. The chain crossed $1 billion in that category in early October 2026, reaching $1.1 billion.
It did not stop there. By mid-October, its tokenized stock and ETF holdings had climbed to approximately $1.5 billion.
That came as the broader market for tokenized stocks and ETFs hit an all-time high of around $4 billion. BNB Chain’s slice of that pie was estimated at 37.5% to 42.59%.
The sector’s own trajectory over the year has been steep. It expanded more than fivefold, from approximately $719 million in January 2026 to around $3.7 billion.
BNB Chain’s share grew even faster than the market itself. It started the year at roughly 13% and climbed to somewhere in the 30% to 42% range by autumn.
Along the way, it moved past Ethereum and Solana, two networks that have long been the default answer to “where does serious onchain finance live.”

Who is actually holding this stuff
BNB Chain is home to 1.8 million addresses holding tokenized stocks, according to Binance Research. That represents 45% of all holders across the market.
Trading activity backs this up. Tokenized equities trading volume on BNB Chain reached about $25.6 billion in the third quarter of 2026.
Treasuries do the heavy lifting
Total non-stablecoin real-world asset supply on the chain rose 24% to $4.96 billion in Q3 2026.
Tokenized treasuries made up $3.77 billion of that total. That makes them the largest single component of the chain’s real-world asset base.
The platforms driving adoption
BNB Chain’s rise has been tied to specific products rather than vague network effects. Two names come up repeatedly: Binance bStocks and Ondo Global Markets.
These platforms issue and distribute tokenized securities on the chain. They give users a way to gain exposure to traditional equities and ETFs without leaving the crypto ecosystem.
What this means
For investors, the main signal is that demand for tokenized equities appears to be real. Rising holder counts and quarterly volume of about $25.6 billion point to active use, not just speculative positioning in a new asset class.
There are risks worth watching. BNB Chain’s growth is closely linked to Binance-affiliated platforms, so concentration around a single ecosystem is a factor investors should weigh.
Market share in this sector has also moved quickly. A network that went from roughly 13% to as much as 42% in under a year shows how fast leadership can change hands.
The metrics to track going forward are straightforward: holder counts, quarterly trading volume and the share of tokenized treasuries versus equities.
