Next Technology Holding (NXTT) has authorized the potential sale or pledging of its entire Bitcoin position, as the company looks to limit crypto exposure and enhance liquidity.

The company’s board unanimously approved the measure on October 30, following a review of the recent Binance security incident and broader concerns about the risks of holding digital assets.

These included exchange vulnerabilities, international cyberattacks and the potential impact of quantum computing on cryptographic security. Next Technology stressed that none of its Bitcoin is held through Binance.

As of October 30, the company’s Bitcoin stash stood at approximately 5,833 BTC worth about $460 million.

The authorization allows the company to conduct direct sales on crypto exchanges, arrange block trades with selected buyers or pledge Bitcoin as collateral for financing. Transactions may be completed in multiple tranches.

Next Technology did not disclose how much Bitcoin it intends to sell or pledge, and said there is no guarantee that transactions will be completed or financing secured.

The company added that the move does not change its commitment to its dual-engine AI and digital asset strategy.

Next Technology provides AI-powered software development and implementation services to industrial clients across the Asia-Pacific region and other markets, while continuing to manage digital asset holdings that may be sold or pledged for liquidity purposes.
