The new platform charges $0.005 per API call and covers 400 cities, with payments built for software rather than people

Belong has launched Long Events, a live event data platform built for AI agents that can search schedules and pay for each query in USDC. The service went live on November 4, 2026, and covers 400 cities across 118 countries.

The pitch is simple. Your AI assistant wants to know what’s playing in Lisbon next Friday, so it asks, pays a fraction of a cent, and gets an answer. No human with a credit card has to step in.

What Long Events actually does

Event listings are scattered across many ticketing sites and organizers, and each formats the same concert differently. Long Events pulls those listings into one standardized catalog and cleans up the inconsistencies, so agents aren’t left reconciling conflicting data on their own.

The catalog is sizable. It includes details on 500,000 past and upcoming events, 300 event weeks, 180,000 venues, and 80,000 artists.

Agents can query the data in two ways: a REST API and 16 Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools. A REST API is the standard way software requests data over the web. MCP is a standardized method that lets AI models plug into outside tools, so an agent can call an event search the way a person might open an app.

Paying by the query, in stablecoins

The payment model is where the crypto piece comes in. Each API call costs $0.005, settled in USDC on the Base network.

At that price, a single dollar covers 200 queries. Credit card networks were never designed to process half-cent purchases, which is part of why machine-to-machine payments have drifted toward stablecoins.

Belong describes the setup as machine-readable micropayments. Put more plainly, the payment rails are designed for software to read and act on without a checkout page or a human approving each charge.

There’s a second option for developers who would rather prepay. They can buy bundles of 10 calls on BNB Chain, paying in LONG, USDT, USDC, or USD1.

Belong is also offering a 20% promotional discount on payments made in LONG, its native token. That discount runs until March 31, 2027.

Where it fits in Belong’s ecosystem

Long Events is not Belong’s first move into AI. It builds on earlier integrations including AI Deploy and OpenClaw, adding a dedicated data layer meant specifically for autonomous agents.

The broader Belong ecosystem already leans on blockchain for live events. It supports on-chain attendance verification and NFT ticketing, aimed at giving venues and promoters more tools to manage and verify who shows up. CheckIn is also part of that lineup.

Belong has said it plans to expand data freshness and developer integrations going forward.

What this means for developers and the LONG token

For developers building AI agents, the most immediate appeal is consolidation. Instead of stitching together data from multiple ticketing sources, they get a single catalog with standardized fields and per-query pricing that scales with use.

The pay-per-call model also lowers the barrier to experimentation. A developer testing a travel or nightlife assistant can run a few thousand queries for a few dollars rather than negotiating a data licensing deal.

For the LONG token, the platform adds a concrete use case. Developers can spend it on data bundles, and the 20% discount gives them a reason to choose it over stablecoins during the promotional window.
