Amazon, Intel, Coinbase and Reddit are all scheduled to report earnings after the market closes today. Sandisk and Strategy are also on the after-hours lineup.

That is a lot of market-moving information arriving in a single evening. This session is one of the busiest earnings days of the season, with over 300 companies reporting.

The timing adds pressure. These reports follow a disappointing quarter from Alphabet, which sent its shares sharply lower and raised questions about the direction of tech and cloud spending. Results from Microsoft were also described as mixed. Investors are now looking to tonight’s batch for some clarity.

What the numbers are expected to show

Amazon is the heavyweight of the evening. Expectations call for earnings per share between $1.96 and $1.97. Total revenue is projected at approximately $202 billion, which would represent year-over-year growth of around 12%.

The real spotlight, though, sits on Amazon Web Services. AWS revenue is forecast at $45.7 billion, a 38% increase from the same period a year earlier. Its trajectory is widely read as a proxy for how much businesses are willing to spend on cloud infrastructure.

That makes AWS especially relevant after Alphabet’s stumble. If Amazon’s cloud unit hits or beats that forecast, it could ease some of the worry about cloud budgets. A miss would likely feed it.

Intel is expected to post earnings per share of around $0.40 on revenue of approximately $16.5 billion. That revenue figure would mark 21% growth and would slightly exceed the company’s own prior guidance.

Coinbase is expected to report revenue between $1.22 billion and $1.24 billion. Its non-GAAP earnings per share are projected near breakeven, with a slight negative return.

Reddit is expected to highlight user engagement and revenue growth as it reports its third-quarter results.

What this means for investors

The central question tonight is whether Alphabet’s weak quarter was a company-specific problem or an early warning for the broader tech complex. Amazon’s AWS number is the cleanest test. A 38% growth rate at a $45.7 billion scale is an ambitious expectation, and the market will notice quickly if the cloud unit falls short.

For Coinbase, the risk profile looks different. With non-GAAP earnings expected near breakeven, there is little cushion. Trading revenue is the key swing factor: if it disappoints, the stock could face substantial downward pressure.

Intel presents a quieter but still meaningful test. Beating its own guidance would suggest the company’s forecasting has become more reliable. Reddit needs to show that its engagement translates into durable revenue.

Strategy’s inclusion on the after-hours schedule also gives crypto-focused investors a second name to watch alongside Coinbase.
